وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " يَا عَلِيُّ إِنْ وَلِيتَ الْأَمْرَ بَعْدِي ، فَأَخْرِجْ أَهْلَ نَجْرَانَ مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ قَيْسٌ غَيْرُ مَنْسُوبٍ ، وَالظَّاهِرُ أَنَّهُ قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ شُعْبَةُ وَالثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ قَيْسٌ غَيْرُ مَنْسُوبٍ ، وَالظَّاهِرُ أَنَّهُ قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ شُعْبَةُ وَالثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Ali, if you become ruler after me, expel the people of Najran from the Arabian Peninsula."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator named Qays whose lineage is not stated; apparently he is Qays bin al-Rabi', who is da'if (weak), though Shu'bah and al-Thawri declared him thiqah (trustworthy), and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
