وَعَنْ حُوَيْطِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى - وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : حُوَيْطٌ وَالصَّحِيحُ حُوَيْطِبٌ - أَنَّهُ رَأَى رُفْقَةً فِيهَا جَرَسٌ فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا تَصْحَبُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ رُفْقَةً فِيهَا جَرَسٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَرِجَالُ الْبَزَّارِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

It is reported about Sayyiduna Huwaytib bin Abd al-Uzza (may Allah be pleased with him), whose name some have given as Huwayt, though the correct form is Huwaytib, that he saw some riders among whom there was a bell, and he said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels do not accompany riders among whom there is a bell."
