وَعَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ فَرَأَى صُورَةً [ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ ] فَجَعَلَ يَمْحُوهَا وَيَقُولُ : " قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ قَوْمًا يُصَوِّرُونَ مَا لَا يَخْلُقُونَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعُمَرِيُّ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the house and saw an image. He called for water and began to wipe it away, saying: "May Allah Almighty destroy a people who make images of what they cannot create."
Imam Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Khalid bin Yazid al-Umari, whom I do not know, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
