وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - خَرَجَ بِقُصَّةٍ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ نِسَاءَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كُنَّ يَجْعَلْنَ هَذَا فِي رُؤُوسِهِّنَ فَلُعِنَّ ، وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْهِنَّ الْمَسَاجِدُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brought out a bunch of artificial hair and said: "The women of the Children of Israel used to put this on their heads, so they were cursed, and coming to the mosque was made unlawful for them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, whose hadith is hasan (good) though there is weakness in it; the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
