عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ : فَإِنَّ رِجَالًا يَنْتِفُونَ الشَّيْبَ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَنْتِفْ نُورَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ : فَإِنَّ رِجَالًا يَنْتِفُونَ الشَّيْبَ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَنْتِفْ نُورَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever grows old in Islam (or whose hair turns white), it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection." A man who was present with him said to him: "Some people pluck out their white hairs?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wishes, let him pluck out his light."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah; his hadith is hasan (good), though there is weakness in him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
