وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَعَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ صُفْرٍ فَقَالَ : " مَا هَذَا الْخَاتَمُ ؟ " قَالَ : مِنَ الْوَاهِنَةِ قَالَ : " أَمَا إِنَّهَا لَا تَزِيدُكَ إِلَّا وَهْنًا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَفِيهِ عُفَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wearing a brass ring. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is this ring for?" He said: "For al-wahinah (an ailment of that name)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It will only increase you in weakness."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ufayr bin Ma'dan, who is da'if (weak).
