بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الصَّبَّاغِ .

وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْحُمْرَةَ فَإِنَّهَا أَحَبُّ الزِّينَةِ إِلَى الشَّيْطَانِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ فِي أَحَدِهِمَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ نَجِيحٍ الْبَكْرِيُّ الْعَبْدِيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَفِي الْآخَرِ : بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ يَرْوِي عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِمَا ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of using red, for it is the adornment most beloved to Satan."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat with two chains. One of them contains Ya'qub bin Khalid bin Najih al-Bakri al-Abdi, whom I do not know; the chain of the other contains Bakr bin Muhammad, who narrates from Sa'id from Shu'bah. The rest of the narrators of both are thiqat (trustworthy).
