وَرَوَى لَهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ مَصْبُوغَانِ بِالزَّعْفَرَانِ : رِدَاءٌ وَعِمَامَةٌ . وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ .
Abu Ya'la recorded from this Companion (that is, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far, may Allah be pleased with him): I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wearing two garments dyed with saffron: an upper wrap and a turban. The chain of one narration contains Abdullah bin Mus'ab al-Zuhri, whom Yahya bin Ma'in declared da'if (weak).
