وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ يَوْمَ الثُّلَاثَاءِ لِسَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ مَضَتْ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ ، فَقُلْتُ : هَذَا الْيَوْمَ تَحْتَجِمُ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، وَمَنْ وَافَقَ مِنْكُمُ الثُّلَاثَاءَ لِسَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ مَضَتْ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ فَلَا يُجَاوِزْ حَتَّى يَحْتَجِمَ ، فَاحْتَجِمُوا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ نَافِعُ بْنُ هُرْمُزٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I came into the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was being cupped; this was on a Tuesday, the 17th of the month. I said: "Are you being cupped today?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! Whoever among you finds the 17th of the month falling on a Tuesday, let him not pass beyond it before being cupped. Have yourselves cupped (on that date)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Nafi' bin Hurmuz, and he is da'if (weak).
