وَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ : دَعَا النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - حَجَّامًا فَحَجَّمَهُ بِقَرْنٍ وَشَرَطَ بِشَفْرَةٍ ، فَرَآهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي فَزَازَةَ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، عَلَامَ تَدَعُ هَذَا يَقْطَعُ لَحْمَكَ ؟ فَقَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرِي مَا هَذَا ؟ هَذَا الْحَجْمُ ، وَهُوَ خَيْرُ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، خَلَا حُصَيْنَ بْنَ أَبِي الْحُرِّ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .

Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent for a cupper, who cupped him with a horn and a blade. A man from Banu Fazarah saw him and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Why do you let this man cut your flesh?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you not know what this is? This is cupping, and it is the best of what you use as medicine (that is, as treatment)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Husayn bin Abi al-Hurr, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
