عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" أَكْرِمُوا عَمَّتَكُمُ النَّخْلَةَ ، فَإِنَّهَا خُلِقَتْ مِنَ الطِّينَ الَّذِي خُلِقَ مِنْهُ آدَمُ ، وَلَيْسَ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ يُلَقَّحُ غَيْرُهَا " .
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" أَطْعِمُوا نِسَاءَكُمُ الْوُلَّدَ الْرُطَبَ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ رُطَبٌ فَالتَّمْرَ ، وَلَيْسَ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ أَكْرَمُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ نَزَلَتْ تَحْتَهَا مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ مَسْرُورُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :

رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ مَسْرُورُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Honour your aunt, the date palm! For it was created from the clay from which Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) was created, and there is no other tree besides it that is pollinated." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "Feed your women who have just given birth fresh ripe dates; if there are no fresh dates, then feed them ordinary dates. No tree is more honoured in the sight of Allah Almighty than the one beneath which Sayyidah Maryam bint Imran (may Allah be pleased with her) stayed."
