وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ : نَهَانِي النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ أَشْرَبَ فِي إِنَاءٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ جَابِرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْجُعْفِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .

Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade me from drinking anything from a silver vessel.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Jabir bin Yazid al-Ju'fi, and he is da'if (weak), though he has also been declared trustworthy.
