وَعَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ الْمُعَطَّلِ قَالَ : بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أُنَادِي : " لَا تَنْتَبِذُوا فِي الْجَرِّ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ . وَمَكْحُولٌ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ صَفْوَانَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Safwan bin al-Mu'attal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to announce: "Do not prepare nabidh in earthenware jars."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. The narrator Makhul did not meet Sayyiduna Safwan (may Allah be pleased with him); the remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
