Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and delivered a sermon, and he forbade the dubba and the muzaffat.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Wiqa bin Iyas, whom Abu Hatim, Ibn Hibban and al-Thawri declared thiqah (trustworthy) and others declared da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
