وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : كَانَتْ خَمْرُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ الْفَضِيخَ ، وَحُرِّمَتْ يَوْمَ حُرِّمَتْ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا فَضِيخُكُمْ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: In those days our wine was fadikh (a drink made from dates), and on the day it was forbidden, it was fadikh that was being used.
