وَعَنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي غَزَاةٍ فَغُلِيَتِ الْقُدُورُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ ، فَأَمَرَنَا بِإِكْفَائِهَا وَقَسَّمَ لِكُلِّ عَشَرَةٍ مِنَّا شَاةً .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ هَاشِمٌ جَلِيسٌ لِأَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ هَاشِمٌ جَلِيسٌ لِأَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Layla (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on a military expedition, and pots were boiling with the meat of domestic donkeys. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to pour them out, and (afterwards) he distributed one goat to every ten of us.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Hashim, a companion of Abu Mu'awiyah, whom I do not know. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
