عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : جَاءَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِسَفَرْجَلَةٍ قَدِمَ بِهَا مِنَ الطَّائِفِ ، فَنَاوَلَهُ إِيَّاهَا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّهُ يَذْهَبُ بِطَخَاوَةِ الصَّدْرِ وَيَجْلُو الْفُؤَادَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ عَلِيٍّ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ عَلِيٍّ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a "safarjal" (quince) which he had brought from Ta'if. He handed it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It removes heaviness from the chest and brightens the heart."
Al-Tabarani recorded it through the narration of Ali al-Qurashi from Amr bin Dinar, and I do not know him. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
