Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to the storehouse (mirbad), he saw Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) leading a she-camel laden with flour, ghee and honey. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Make it kneel." He made it kneel. Then he called for a cooking pot and put some of the ghee, honey and flour into it. Then, on his order, a fire was lit beneath it, and when it was cooked he said: "Eat it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also ate from it himself, and then he said: "This is the thing the people of Persia call khabis."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in all three books. The narrators of al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat are thiqat (trustworthy).
