Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7970

Mujahid narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), "How little you eat!" He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The disbeliever eats with seven intestines, and the believer eats with one intestine."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it like the hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him). The chain of Imam al-Tabarani is da'if (weak). The chain of Imam Abu Ya'la contains a narrator, Mujalid bin Sa'id, and he too is da'if (weak).
