وَعَنْ سَلْمَى مَوْلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهَا صَنَعَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - خَزِيرَةً وَقَرَّبَتْهَا فَأَكَلَ وَمَعَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَبَقِيَ مِنْهَا قَلِيلٌ ، فَمَرَّ بِالنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَدَعَاهُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَأَخَذَهَا الْأَعْرَابِيُّ كُلَّهَا بِيَدِهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " ضَعْهَا " ثُمَّ قَالَ : " سَمِّ اللَّهَ وَكُلْ مِنْ أَدْنَاهَا [ تَشْبَعْ ] " فَشَبِعَ مِنْهَا وَفَضَلَتْ فَضْلَةٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyidah Salma (may Allah be pleased with her), the freedwoman of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), says that she prepared khazirah for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and presented it to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate it, and some of his Companions were with him. A little of it remained. A Bedouin passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called him. The Bedouin took all of it in his hand, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Put it down." Then he said: "Mention the name of Allah first and eat from the part nearest to you; you will be satisfied." So he ate his fill from it, and some of it was still left over.
