بَابٌ فِيمَنْ مَاتَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ .

عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ مَاتَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ قِيلَ لَهُ : ادْخُلْ مِنْ أَيِّ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ الثَّمَانِيَةِ شِئْتَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِهِ شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .

Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever dies in a state of believing in Allah Almighty and the Last Day, it will be said to him: 'Enter (Paradise) by whichever of the eight gates of Paradise you wish!'"
