وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : فِي الْمَوْهُوبَةِ : إِنْ قَبِلُوهَا فَهِيَ وَاحِدَةٌ ، وَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَقْبَلُوهَا فَلَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said concerning the woman who is gifted (to her family): "If her family accepts her, it counts as one divorce, and the man has more right to her; and if they do not accept her, then it has no standing."
