وَعَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَلَا عَسَى أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَضْرِبَ امْرَأَتَهُ ضَرْبَ الْأَمَةِ أَلَا خَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الضَّرِيرِ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الضَّرِيرِ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It happens that one of you beats his wife the way a slave girl is beaten. Beware! The best of you is the one who is best towards his wife."
Al-Bazzar recorded it from his teacher Zakariyya bin Yahya bin Ayyub al-Darir, whom I do not know. The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
