عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ : صَحِبْتُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ - ذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ - يُقَالُ لَهُ : كَعْبُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَوْ زَيْدُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ فَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَوَضَعَ ثَوْبَهُ وَقَعَدَ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ أَبْصَرَ بِكَشْحِهَا بَيَاضًا فَانْحَازَ عَنِ الْفِرَاشِ وَقَالَ : " خُذِي عَلَيْكِ ثِيَابَكِ " وَلَمْ يَأْخُذْ مِمَّا آتَاهَا شَيْئًا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ . وَجَمِيلٌ ضَعِيفٌ .

Jamil bin Zayd narrates: I accompanied a man from the Ansar. Jamil mentioned that he had the honour of being a Companion; his name was Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) Sayyiduna Zayd bin Ka'b. He narrated this hadith to me: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married a woman from Banu Ghifar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went in to her, took off his outer garment and sat on the bed. He noticed a white patch (of leprosy) on her side, so he got up from the bed and said: Cover yourself with your clothes! (The narrator says:) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not take back anything of what he had given her.
