Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7522

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no marriage without a guardian and two upright witnesses."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat through Muhammad bin Abd al-Malik from Abu al-Zubayr. If this is al-Wasiti, then he is thiqah (trustworthy); and if he is not, then I do not know him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
