Umarah bin Khuzaymah bin Amr narrates: We were with Sayyiduna Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) on a Hajj or an Umrah. When we reached Marr al-Zahran, there was a woman in her howdah who had placed her hand on the howdah. When he was going down, he entered a mountain pass, and we entered it with him. He told us: Once we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at this place, and there were many crows here, and among them was a crow whose beak and legs were a'sam. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No more women will enter Paradise than the proportion of this crow among these crows." Abu Umar said: A'sam means red.
At-Tabarani recorded it, and this wording is his; Ahmad also recorded it, and the narrators of Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy).
