Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three deeds such that whoever does them while relying on Allah Almighty and hoping for reward, it is binding upon Allah Almighty to help that person and to place blessing for him: whoever strives to free a slave while having faith in Allah Almighty and hoping for reward, it is binding upon Allah Almighty to help that person and grant him blessing; whoever marries while having faith in Allah Almighty and hoping for reward, it is binding upon Allah Almighty to help him and grant him blessing in it; and whoever revives barren land while having faith in Allah Almighty and hoping for reward, it is binding upon Allah Almighty to help that person and grant him blessing."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ubaydullah bin al-Wazi', from whom only his grandson Amr bin Asim narrated; the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
