بَابٌ فِيمَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُؤْمِنَةً .

وَعَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ ( عَمْرٍو ) الْقُشَيْرِيِّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُسْلِمَةً ، فَهِيَ فِدَاؤُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ، وَمَكَانُ كُلِّ عَظْمٍ مِنْ عِظَامِهِ مُحَرَّرَةُ عَظْمٍ مِنْ عِظَامِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَهُوَ أَطْوَلُ مِنْ هَذَا ، وَهُوَ فِي الْبِرِّ وَالصِّلَةِ ، وَفِيهِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَهُوَ حَسَنُ الْحَدِيثِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَهُوَ أَطْوَلُ مِنْ هَذَا ، وَهُوَ فِي الْبِرِّ وَالصِّلَةِ ، وَفِيهِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَهُوَ حَسَنُ الْحَدِيثِ .
Sayyiduna Malik bin Amr al-Qushayri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever frees a Muslim neck (that is, a slave), it will become his ransom from Hell; each of its bones will count as freed (from Hell) in place of each of his bones."
Ahmad recorded it, and it is a longer narration than this; it is also in the chapter on righteousness and maintaining family ties. Its chain contains a narrator, Ali bin Zayd, in whom there is weakness, and he is hasan al-hadith (good in hadith).
