وَعَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي كَبِيرٍ قَالَ : كُنْتُ أُدَاعِبُ امْرَأَتِي فَانْرَمَى يَدِي فَمَاتَتْ وَذَلِكَ فِي غَزْوَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - تَبُوكَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ خَبَرَ امْرَأَتَيِ الَّتِي أَصَبْتُهَا خَطَأً فَقَالَ : " لَا تَرِثُهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ . وَعُمَرُ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : مَجْهُولٌ .

Sayyiduna Umar bin Shaybah bin Abi Kabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was playing with my wife, and my hand struck her and she died. This was during the Expedition of Tabuk of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I came to him and told him about the situation of my wife, whom I had killed by mistake. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will not inherit from her."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and Abu Hatim said about Sayyiduna Umar bin Shaybah (may Allah be pleased with him): he is majhul (unknown).
