Book of Inheritance
بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يُسْلِمُ وَبَعْضُ وَرَثَتِهِ عَلَى غَيْرِ دِينِهِ فَيُسْلِمُ قَبْلَ قِسْمَةِ الْمِيرَاثِ .
One who accepts Islam while some of his heirs follow another religion, and they accept Islam before the inheritance is divided

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " كُلُّ مِيرَاثٍ أَدْرَكَ الْإِسْلَامَ ، وَلَمْ يُقْسَمْ فَهُوَ عَلَى قَسْمِ الْإِسْلَامِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ جِدًّا .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every inheritance that reaches the time of Islam without yet having been divided shall be divided according to the rulings of Islam."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin al-Fadl bin Atiyyah, and he is extremely da'if (weak).
