Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7140

Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "For all the children of a daughter, their 'asabah (agnatic heirs) are the relatives of their father, except for the sons of Fatimah, for I am their 'asabah and I am their father."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Bishr bin Mihran, and he is matruk (abandoned). (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: This narration has another chain, which will come in the chapter on virtues (al-Manaqib).
