Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever's intercession becomes an obstacle to one of the hudud (prescribed punishments) of Allah Almighty stands against Allah Almighty in His dominion. Whoever helps in a dispute without even knowing whether it is right or wrong remains continually under the displeasure of Allah Almighty until he desists. Whoever walks along with a group, thinking that he is a witness while he is not a witness, is like one who gives false testimony. Whoever relates a false dream will be required to tie a knot between the two ends of a small barley grain. Reviling a Muslim is fisq (sinfulness), and fighting him is kufr (disbelief)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Raja' al-Saqati, whom Yahya bin Ma'in declared da'if (weak) and Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy).
