وَعَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، قَالَ : كَرِهَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لِقَاضِي الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقًا ، وَلِصَاحِبِ مَغَانِمِهِمْ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Masruq narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarded it as disliked (makruh) for the judge of the Muslims to take payment for it, and likewise for the one in charge of their spoils of war (to take payment is also disliked).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
