عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ : كَانَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَلَامٌ ، فَقَالَ : " أَجْعَلُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكِ عُمَرَ ؟ " . فَقُلْتُ : لَا . قَالَ : " أَجْعَلُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكِ أَبَاكِ ؟ " . قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Once a disagreement arose between me and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about something. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I will make Umar the arbiter between me and you." I said: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I make your father the arbiter between me and you?" I said: "Very well."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Salih bin Abi al-Aswad, who is da'if (weak).
