بَابٌ بِمَاذَا يُحْلَفُ ؟ وَالنَّهْيِ عَنِ الْحَلِفِ بِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ .

عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بَعَثَهُ قَالَ : " أَنْتَ رَسُولِي إِلَى أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ . قُلْ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامَ وَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِثَلَاثٍ : لَا تَحْلِفُوا بِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ " فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ أَبِي الْمُخَارِقِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him and said: "You are my messenger to the people of Makkah. Tell them that the Messenger of Allah conveys his greetings of peace to you and commands you to do three things: do not swear by other than Allah." Then the narrator mentioned the complete (hadith), which has already passed.
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains Abd al-Karim bin Abi al-Mukhariq, who is da'if (weak).
