عَنْ أُسَامَةَ الْهُذَلِيِّ ، عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " " إِذَا شَهِدَتْ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ - وَهُمْ أَرْبَعُونَ رَجُلًا فَصَاعِدًا - أَجَازَ اللَّهُ شَهَادَتَهُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَقَالَ فِيهِ أَوْ قَالَ : " صَدَّقَ اللَّهُ شَهَادَاتِهِمْ " ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ، وَهُوَ مَجْهُولٌ عَلَى قَاعِدَةِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَقَالَ فِيهِ أَوْ قَالَ : " صَدَّقَ اللَّهُ شَهَادَاتِهِمْ " ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ، وَهُوَ مَجْهُولٌ عَلَى قَاعِدَةِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ .
Sayyiduna Usamah al-Hudhali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When a nation consisting of forty or more people bears witness to something, Allah Almighty accepts their testimony."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and in it he stated: (the narrator is unsure, or perhaps the wording is:) "Allah Almighty confirms their testimony." Its chain contains a narrator, Salih bin Hilal, who is majhul (unknown) according to the principle of Ibn Abi Hatim.
