وَعَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " أَعْظَمُ الْغُلُولِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ذِرَاعٌ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ تَجِدُونَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ جَارَيْنِ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوْ فِي الدَّارِ فَيَقْتَطِعُ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْ حَظِّ صَاحِبِهِ ذِرَاعًا . إِذَا اقْتَطَعَهُ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Malik al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The greatest betrayal in the sight of Allah Almighty is a cubit of land: you will find two men who are neighbours in some land or in a house, and one of them seizes a cubit from his companion's share. When he seizes it, he will be made to wear a collar of it from seven earths until the Day of Resurrection."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
