عَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ رَهَنَ أَرْضًا بِدَيْنٍ عَلَيْهِ ، فَإِنَّهُ يَقْضِي مِنْ ثَمَرَتِهَا مَا فَضَلَ بَعْدَ نَفَقَتِهَا ، وَيُقْضَى ذَلِكَ لَهُ مِنَ [ حِينِهِ ذَلِكَ ] الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ بَعْدَ أَنْ يُحْسَبَ لِصَاحِبِهَا الَّذِي هِيَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُهُ وَنَفَقَتُهُ بِالْعَدْلِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِهِ مَسَاتِيرُ .

Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever pledges land as security for a debt, then from its fruit, whatever remains after its expenses, he will make payment; he must make that payment from the time it became due upon him, and after what is reckoned for his counterpart with whom the land is held: his work and expenses will be reckoned according to justice."
