Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wishes that his supplications be answered and his distress be removed should give relief to one in hardship."
Imam Ahmad and Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it; he (Abu Ya'la) recorded these words: "Whoever makes things easy for one in hardship." The narrators of Imam Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy).
