وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَعْلَى اللَّيْثِيِّ قَاضِي الْبَصْرَةِ أَنَّ مَعْقِلَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ بَاعَ دَارًا بِمِائَةِ أَلْفٍ ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ بَاعَ عُقْرَةً مِنْ غَيْرِ حَاجَةٍ بَعَثَ اللَّهُ تَالِفًا يُتْلِفُهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ ، مِنْهُمْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَعْلَى اللَّيْثِيُّ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ ، مِنْهُمْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَعْلَى اللَّيْثِيُّ .
Abdullah bin Ya'la al-Laythi, the judge of Basrah, narrates: Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) sold a house for one hundred thousand, then he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever sells land (or a house) without need, Allah Almighty sends a destroyer who destroys his wealth."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know, among them Abdullah bin Ya'la al-Laythi.
