عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " ضَرْبُ مَثَلِ الرِّزْقِ كَمَثَلِ حَائِطٍ لَهُ بَابٌ ، فَمَا حَوْلَ الْبَابِ سُهُولَةٌ ، وَمَا حَوْلَ الْحَائِطِ وَعْرٌ وَوَعْثٌ ، فَمَنْ أَتَاهُ مِنْ قِبَلِ بَابِهِ أَصَابَهُ كُلَّهُ وَسَلِمَ ، وَمَنْ أَتَاهُ مِنْ قِبَلِ حَائِطِهِ وَقَعَ فِي الْوَعْرِ وَالْوَعْثِ حَتَّى إِذَا انْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ إِلَّا الرِّزْقُ الَّذِي يَسَّرَهُ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ إِلَّا أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيَّ ، وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعَا مِنَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ إِلَّا أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيَّ ، وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعَا مِنَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The example of provision may be described as a wall that has a door. The area at the door is easy, while the area around the wall is rugged and difficult. Whoever enters from the side of the door will get in completely and remain safe, and whoever tries to enter from the side of the wall will fall into ruggedness and difficulty, until he reaches it; yet a person will receive only the provision that Allah Almighty has made easy for him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that Ibrahim al-Nakha'i and Sulayman bin Qays did not hear from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). And Allah knows best.
