وَعَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ أَنَّ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بَنَى غُرْفَةً ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اهْدِمْهَا " . فَقَالَ : أَهْدِمُهَا أَوْ أَتَصَدَّقُ بِثَمَنِهَا ؟ فَقَالَ : " اهْدِمْهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Abu al-Aliyah says: Sayyiduna al-Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) built an upper room, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Demolish it." He said: "Shall I demolish it, or shall I give its value in charity?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Demolish it."
