وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَقَّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، وَالْحُسَيْنِ وَخَتَنَهُمَا لِسَبْعَةِ أَيَّامٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَالْكَبِيرِ بِاخْتِصَارِ الْخِتَانِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ؛ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَفِيهِ لِينٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had the aqiqah performed for Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him), and had them circumcised on the seventh day.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Saghir, and in al-Kabir in abridged form without mention of the circumcision. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Abi al-Sari, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), though there is some softness (weakness) in him.
