وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ مُرْتَهَنٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Every newborn child is held in pledge for his aqiqah."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Saghir; its chain contains Salih bin Hayyan, who is da'if (weak).
