Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6170

Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to forbid that, when a person is invited to food, he should take someone else along with him; however, if those who prepared the food permit it, the ruling is different.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain is not matruh (discarded).
