Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6123

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Kill snakes, and especially kill the one with two stripes and the short-tailed one, for they snatch away eyesight and cause miscarriage. Whoever does not kill these two is not one of us." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This narration is mentioned in the "Sahih", but it does not contain these words: "Whoever does not kill these two is not one of us."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
