Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6028

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about cutting off the rumps (or parts of the back) of sheep and parts of the humps of camels, and he said: Whatever part is cut off from a living animal is counted as carrion.
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Miswar bin al-Salt, and he is matruk (abandoned).
