Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I used to shoot wild animals and hunt them, and I would present their meat as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) found me absent and asked: "Salamah, where have you been?" I said: "I went far away to hunt, O Messenger of Allah. I was hunting in the upper part of Qanat, towards Bayt." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you had hunted in the valley of al-Aqiq, I would have accompanied you when you went and met you when you came back, for I love the valley of al-Aqiq."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain is hasan (good).
