Umar bin Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith bin Hisham relates: Sayyiduna Abu Basrah al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) met Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was coming from al-Tur. He asked: "Where are you coming from?" He said: "I am coming from al-Tur; I prayed there." He said: "Had I found you before you set out, you would not have gone on the journey, for I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Journeys should be undertaken only to three mosques: al-Masjid al-Haram, this mosque of mine, and al-Masjid al-Aqsa.'"
Imam Ahmad recorded this, Imam al-Bazzar recorded something similar, and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. The narrators of Imam Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy) and athbat (highly reliable).
