Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5741

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not enter the Ka'bah in the year of the Conquest of Makkah; he entered it on the occasion of Hajj. When he came down, he prayed four rak'ahs (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) two rak'ahs between the Black Stone and the door of the Ka'bah, facing the House of Allah, and he said: "This is the Qiblah." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A hadith is narrated from him in the "Sahih" other than this one.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Jabir al-Ju'fi, who is da'if (weak), though he has also been declared trustworthy.
